Hi, may I suggest you try the P38 forum they are a friendly forum and there is lots of information on there about the gun, magazines and grips, I'm sure they would date your gun. Regards David.

Hi Lorenzo,

The suffix letter on your pistol looks to be an "L". They used lower case letters in most cases. That would date your pistol to February, 1944.

I think this is spreewerk made, maybe 4th variant, (about letter) but wait for the expert opinions..february 1944
