Hi chaps just wanted to show my first luger. It is dated 1916 and is matching numbered throughout the weapon, even the mag matches. The blueing is still 90% though the strawed parts are losing their colour. The serial number is 9006. The holster is marked 1916 and has the makers mark, the quality of the leather is just fantastic. The belts loops have been cut. The only reason really I can think of for that is it was cut from the body of a dead German soldier but I suppose thats something we will never know! Too bad the holster has been cut. It appears to be in much better condition then most from WWI.
