WWI Luger DWM Complete Toggle Value?

Hi all. Dont know if this is the right place to post this, but... I was going to place this toggle on the estand, but I havent got any idea what a fair price might be? Could anyone venture a guess?
    Thanks very much!

    Luger Toggel Assembly

Hi Thomas, I collect Lugers and have several. Thats a nice looking toggle, but the problem you,re going to have is finding someone with a Luger to match the number that you have. Is that a 6 or 9? Then on the other hand someone may have a shooter and needs one. A ball park figure to me would be 75 to 100 USD.

Really you should put this item on the Luger forum, as there are more Luger people there.Hope this helps some. Regards; Danny

What are matching number, original blueing, no rust, DWM Lugers worth? A buddy of mine from the PD just gave me one that belonged to one of his relatives.

Does it have a chamber date? If so what is it? What condition is the finish in?

          Luger Value

Hi PD Sgt, It really depends on what type PO8 you have.
They made the common Luger, the 6inch Navy, the 8 inch artillery and even a carbine. Without seeing the unit and it is from WW1 with matching magazine, around 12 to14 hundred estimate. If you have the holster and spare mag then you could add 300 or more to that. Also a lot of Lugers were unit marked which increases the value. If you need more info , send me your phone # and I,ll call you. Hope this helps; Danny

It is dated 1915, the bluing is almost 100% (worn to the metal on the high spots), and the barrel is in good shape with no pitting and is 3".

Actually the barrel should be right at 4 inches. The 1915 is one of the more common dates found, but it is still early war and nice to find in the condition you have described. I would put the replacement value at around $1200 plus or minus $200.

Okay, you're right, the barrel is 4" from the chamber.

                Thanks for the info!

Thomas, didn't mean to hijack your thread.
