What does a fully functional luger cost's?

I know some one who has a functional luger, what is it worth and how much would you give for it...

Hi Nick, in Britain it will cost you ten years Sorry for the joke, as over here they are illegal..

We would need to know several things first before we could give you an estimate as to value? Are all the serial numbers matching? Is the finish (the blueing) original and not redone? What is the overall condition, i.e. not rust or pitting. How worn is the barrel? Etc.

    Cheers, Ade.

      Po8

I think Adrian missed out the important part who made it as a Po8 by Krieghoff or Simpson will be worth several times the value of a DWM , Erfurt, byf,S42and others

The other fellows comments are spot on. Condition and maker will affect the price greatly. If you could post pictures or get some info off the weapon that would help.

Nick, I have a fully functional car for sale. How much will you pay for it? Get the idea?

Nick, note the markings on the toggle as well as the top of the chamber. You should also pay attention to the numbers stamped into the parts. The markings on the chamber and toggle will tell you who made the pistol and when they did it.

On most military lugers one would expect to find a four digit serial number on the base of the barrel, the frame beneath the barrel and on the left side of the barrel extension. The last two digits of the serial number will appear on many of the parts.

Also note any stampings on either the front or rear grip strap. The grip strap is normally where unit markings were placed. These can help in setting down a bit of the pistol's history.

well I haven't seen him yet and I have no pictures.

Let uss assume it is the a luger is in the pretty normal condition and from the worst maker

What is it worth? 500 euro 1000 euro 2000 euro???

It's yust to have an idea for when I have to use money to pursuade him to hand it over to me

Get yourself a car instead of a Luger, and the police is watching... If you got that Luger, you must deact it in de Proefbank van Luik.

                Trust me,
                Junior.

Two years ago, I paid around $700.00 for my East German rebarreled P08.

Living in a country with very strict gun control (its even difficult to own deactivated firearms), we do not ever get an opportunity to buy a live Luger. That said, if an opportunity presented itself to acquire one, albeit illegally, the temptation to buy would be great, not to fire it, but to have in my possession something that hadn't been butchered. Well, we may as well dream here . . .
