        Hello folks,

Went to the stand to shoot my 1941 SVT40.
As was first time, used the 50m range to check the sights and find right setting for the gas tube. Started at 1,3. Worked fine, except two times when the bolt remained open.
Fired surplus coppered steel case ammo. Still a fair amount of recoil for a semi auto.

        Otherwise, fun to shoot.

Great to hear that. I haven't even bought ammo for mine

I'm finally expecting my latest after 9 month much discussion with the authorities. I finally had to accept them restamping it. I hope I will get it about next week.

              gents,

What would be a reasonable price to pay for an SVT38 in Europe? In working condition but with some defects...

AT LAST!!!!! I've got my correct SVT40 in working condition, 1 year later!!!!! just because it didn't say who the maker was on the rifle!!!! Blxxdy Hxll paperwork up and down for months It is the lower, with the scope mounted. In the middle is my modified AVT to semi-auto. They are all post war refurbished... but nice looking. This new one is dated 1942, so I will leave the bolt carrier in that plum colour it has.

Now, the top one is the deactivated one I had put on sale at E-stand. I have sold it's AVT buttstock (and the ad was deleted in advance, when still on hold) but I have swapped buttstocks with my new rifle and the deactivated will soon be up for sale again, with a right SVT butt and early parts ( flash hider, trigger guard, safety).

Something I have learnt; not only buttstock, trigger guard, safety latch, front band swivel (B), and flash hider (A) can be early or late models ...but also also the top metal handguard!!! Seems the early version has 8 (D) holes while the later only has 7 (C)!!

Well, my latest addition, an unrefurbished SVT40 bayo. I had the hope it would be an M.38 but was mistaken
