K98 1939 "243" For Review

I have a K98 1939 "243" for review. A couple of questions I have:
1. Everything looks good (original/matching right)?
2. Since it is a 1939 is there a front hood missing?
3. What would be the value on such a rifle?
4. The "H" on the stock it mean army issue?

Front sight does not appear to be grooved (most show up late in 1940 onwards unless re-barreled) so not intended for sight hood.

IMO the bolt looks to have been re-numbered, but may have been done during the period. The number styles are very different between the bolt (all parts shown) and the rest of the rifle.

The front sight is not set up to accept a protector.....The "H" in the stock is for Army acceptance......Bodes

What is the value of the rifle?

Would like to see clear close up pics of the bolt area number, safety and rear of botl (where firing pin protrudes). Based on what I see so fat, it is a renumbered bolt. That significantly hurts the value compared to a nonmessed with original.
Folks tends to prefer an origianl mismatch instead a humped up model.

no good.....the bolt is renumbered. from the pics provided everything else looks okay.....bolt mismatch value roughly $650-800.....but the bolt is worthless so id say value is definitely the lower part of that range
