P38 Holster - Help Needed

Received the other day after winning bid on eBay. Too good to be true? I wonder if anyone can give me information regarding original or repro. I can take it! Thanks.

Sorry, that is a reproduction. Sniff of the inside. It will likely smell like new shoes. That is a dead giveaway. As far as I know, the waffenamt numbers that are found on dla holsters are 145 or 195. Actually, the first thing I noticed was the way the closure strap was stitched on. Here is a link to pictures showing how they did it. It can vary some but all that I have seen have that side stitch at the bottom to reinforce it.

Here is another way they stitched it. The stitching here did not make an inverted "U", it was not sewn across at the top of the closure strap.

Sadly it appears that most of the holsters now on ebay are fakes. Some are advertised as such, but most are not.
