A matching service for Mausers, Lugers

Hello Gents,
This may be a old question, but a forum like this, or a separate website, may be an excellent vehicle for linking spare numbered parts from German Mausers and Lugers with those who need them. I have seen more than my share of of guns with 5or 6 different numbers. But, I have seen two beautiful WWI Mausers that only needed one part to be completely matched. For Example, I have a 1917 98a that needs a #70 stacking hook, thats all, and it is completely matched. I would gladly pay and trade my two stacking hooks to get a #70.

I'm sure WWI and early WWII Mauser collectors and Luger collectors will agree. How many Lugers out there with mismatched mags? So my question is can a Mauser and Luger parts site be set up to link those who have multi numbered guns with those who desperately need and want a specific numbered part? Or does such a site already exist?

That is not a bad idea, however the chances of you finding the number you need is very far fetched! But I'll give it a try too!
I need a bolt for a K98, S/N- 2812b. That is it! I also need a P38 zero series mag, S/N-010400.

I'll see if that works, but not holding my breath!

What I'm thinking of is not so much posting individual needs, but posting surplus numbered parts by category, e.g. luger magazines, mauser bolts, mauser cleaning rods, and categories for misc. parts, on a website for people to search. The more people that post surplus numbered parts from shooters and multi-numbered combination guns, the more likely one would find that needed part. A central server would then connect the one with the part and the one who needs the part.

This would eventually catch on but a website and server would be needed.
