          Robert,
I do not know UK restrictions, I was thinking you were asking about US receiving it.
US customs would not stop the target sight.

I don't know, optics are not weapons. Strange.

US restricts new military grade scopes and optics leaving US, but this is coming in plus it is old.

One time I spoke to an ATF contact who explained that scopes even ww1-present would technically require an import license.

Whether anyone cares is another story. They shouldn't have any issue mailing it.

                    Robert,
The scopes and night visions on that site would be under same restriction as military grade stuff from US. I guess I should first find out what scope you are taking about before I gave you my answer. I thought it is ww1 or ww2 scope that you were talking about.

Lots of people hunt big game with telescopic sights. When did night vision come into it? A different kettle of fish. So, do companies like Leopold, Weaver, Redfeild, etc. need special status to sell outside the US?

                        No problem.

Marking the customs form as a gift if it isn't or lying about the value of the shipment? Big problem.
