My P08 Erfurt

It looks like a nice Luger with original finish. In addition it's an early Erfurt (1911), retrofitted with the hold open. A true veteran fro two world wars - and the lanyard, if original, is the cherry on the cake.

From what I can see the lanyard looks like one of the Portuguese lanyards that were being sold a few years back. Nice accessory, but don't think it could have been on a WWI or WWII German issue Luger. I think Portugal started using them in 1943, but that is from an old memory bank.

I don´t think it can be a recent Portuguese one - the lanyard was on the pistol when it was discovered in the early 70s in that village of Schleif.
