some offered me this 98K. This could be my first and as I am not so well versed in this type of gun I would very much like some second opinions. What are your thoughts on this gun? Thanks!

K98 rifle

Hi W,
Somehow you need to provide larger photos, can't make out any details.
My first impression is that the stock has been refinished - looks very clean.

hard to tell anything from the pics, but that stock is definitely refinished. it also not a correct stock for an early byf44 which this rifle is

Is it a live piece? Do the numbers match? How much is it? How is the bore?
