I just picked up some nice military weapons to include this all matching (#874) 1916 DWM Luger. I can find a load of info in my books and on the web regarding the gun...but very little on the holster or mags. Can someone enlighten me a bit (past the basic "yes, that's a Luger holster & clips & they're real.")? Thanks! Some specific questions are below with the pics.
The only markings I find on the holster are under the flap but all I can make out is BERLIN in the center line. Can this be brought out some? Note the small hole in the leather under flap? Makes no sense but has been in there years? Purpose?
What about the two clips? Both are completely unmarked so far as I can see. Both have the wood butts, one is more a blued finish the other steel. Are these both period to the gun? WWII carries?
I appreciate the time and info, thanks!
