    Remember that old B-B gun?

My dad gave me my first BB gun in the late 50's. 1959 to be exact.
It was a special Daisey BB gun called a Red Rider. It had a compass and a sundial. As a kid I could load it in the morning and shoot it for hours on end. I pegged cans, bottles, bugs and a few other targets typical of most kids at one time or another. I still have that old BB gun..

I still have my old BB gun! 42 years later.

I learned early about a compass........most kids are clueless about these. It was simple and it worked, back when everything was made in the USA.

I loved that old silly BB gun. It grew up with me. I learned alot with it nearby. I had some wonderful childhood memories with old Red. I learned gun safety, usage, and respect for all firearms with the introduction of this Red Rider into my life.

Now it's time to pass it on to my youngest one for a while.

                      BB gun fun

By the way Gary very nice BB gun ,great condition.I wonder what those go for now-a-days?When I was growing up I had a Daisey 250 ,I could hit anything I wanted within 50 feet or so.My little brother put nails in the barrel and ruined my fun.Its looks as though your brothers left your BB gun alone..........Johnny S

Thanks Johnny for the compliments. Yes I was lucky that my brothers didn't mess up my stuff. The fortunate thing about it was were all born years apart from each other. My older brothers are 10 and 14 years older and the younger is 5 years younger. Almost like two sets of sons with a decade between.

I have no idea what these would sell for now, if you could find one.
