Japanese Trainer Pistol?

Okay guys this showed up at the show today, operates off caps like the cap and ball pistols, resembles a Type 14 and even has very small symbols resembling the stacked cannonball Kokura logo seen on Japanese pistols...Im stumped,,,what the heck is this thing?
