French Model 35A Rig

I picked up this Model 35A rig awhile back. I have my suspicions about the holster rig so I thought I'd post it here for opinions.

I have not been able to find a similar rig to compare it to. I also forgot to mention that this rig has no identifying stampings what-so-ever making the task a challenge.
