Someone removed the bayonet adapter, the germans send the matching bayonet- rifles combination.

if heard that sometimes the portugese didn't want to put a bayonet on it, could that be true? that the germans removed the adapter? becouse the metal part to put the adapter on it does not match with the rest of the rifle the rest is all number matching including the bolt.

It did not leave the factory with a cut off bayonet lug.

Does it bring the value down?

Probably the bayonet stud was removed to disqulify the rifle as a military piece and qualify it for civilian sale. This was required in some European countries in the 1950s and 1960s. Likewise in some cases the rear sights were blocked for long range shooting.
