    cup for a German M24 grenade

    Hi all.

    What is your opinion of this M24 grenade head?.
    The painting is authentic?.
    I've never seen a M24 painted in this color...

        Looks to be a late war Tan colored head, looks like it may have had a smooth type shrapnel ring fitted around the head at some point (dont know the proper term for it)

          all original, late war stick grenade head, painted in ordnance tan, you can see clearly that there was a smooth fragmentation sleeve attached....

            Yes, you can see the marks on the paint to have had a sleeve mounted.
            But the paint would be best preserved by being protected by the sleeve it mounted?.

              The wear of the painting is the same throughout the grenade, except the color of the marks. The upper part has the same color recorded that supposedly parts covered by the sleeve mounted.

              Do not know, but I have many questions ...
