Perhaps gommemorative model to honour the 200 year of tye 42st state.

There were more of this tipe commemoratives like one for John Wayne ect.

Washington is the 42nd state of the USA. It became a state in 1889, one of the dates on the piece. The other is 1776-1976, the bicentenial year celebration which was a big deal back in '76. Nice looking gun.
