Actually, this one has a chance to be real. It is going off to be tested in a couple of days. We absolutely know the history of this one to 1958 so if it is a copy it is a very early one.

*I did get to do a "gloves on" examination of an original at one time but that's as close as I've ever been.

WOW, if it turn out to be a actual martial original Walker Colt, indeed a true magnificent experience in been able to handle it, don't think will be wise to shoot it unless proven is an early reproduction.
The Martial Walkers are among the most important Colts and expensive revolvers in the world. Colt Co. or several of the well know experts on Colts and vintage guns will able to give a final veredict.

Yes, I will certainly keep you guys updated on it. As I said, we absolutely know its history to 1958. Before that we can trace it fairly well to 1900. There are a couple of times when it drops off the radar but when it comes back on the radar it makes sense.
And there is no chance in HELL it will be fired!
