Is this a Police Mauser HSc?

    Hey folks,

A recent pick up. Looks to be all matching and has some nice stamps.

    Is this a police?

I think I found the serial number range in late 43?

Any other info would be great.

    thanks J

          Not Police! " E/655" It's a Military acceptance stamp.

          Very nice pick up!

              Police HSc?

More specifically, this is an Army procurement stamp. The only other military directly procuring the HSc was the Kriegsmarine which had an Eagle/MIII/8 stamped at that location. Pistols without a stamp at that location were Commercial.
Also, the production date of 717439 was in May 1941. HSc Production began in December 1940 at 700001.

Jumper..Yes Eagle 655 is Army. A Police marking on pistols would be a stick wing eagle K-F-C or L

You will see this on Lugers..some Mauser Banners issued to Police and Luger magazines.

The only other military directly procuring the HSc was the Kriegsmarine which had an Eagle/MIII/8 stamped at that location. Good to know! Thanks..

OH! And a very beautiful holster..Nice.

                  Are the army ones rare?

What ballpark value would y'all put on it?

                  Thanks j
