    MP40 Part Set

Does anyone know where I might be able to buy a WWII vintage MP40 parts set. No tube of course. Would like to assemble a couple dummys for a display. Thanks for the input.

Ebay sells pieces from time to time. The pieces are not cheap, but you can find them in individual pieces, which may be helpful if you are looking for a specific part only.

I don't think that there have been any MP-40 parts sets available from dealers in a long time...at least 10 years and maybe closer to 20. From time to time I have seen a single set offered by dealers from "lost stock" or a collector bringing one out and they seem to run several thousand dollars.

I think that the prices that the registered firing MP-40s are now bringing has really driven up the prices of most of the parts...especially barrels.

My best advice is to keep searching gunbroker and shows.

        mp40

gunbroker has them listed regularly. Last time I looked, parts kits with non-matching numbers start around $2500.00. Cosmetically good aluminum dummy receivers are also available. Paul, where are you located?

Gunbroker and ebay are pretty much the source ,unless you live in the state ,any machine gun shoot will be the next alternative( like Knob creek machine gun shoot) , price of the average MP40 parts kit today are close to the price of a fully transferable matching # MP40 back in the mid 90's ! and they are keep going up!!!

Why not just purchase a repro if its just a dummy gun for display?

                    Paul,
Check out the MP 38/40 parts kit auction on ebay.
