            lock screw

Nice piece of history. And almost matching

There is missing a front lock screw with crown mark. But guess who has one in matching condition of your trigger guard?!

Have loads of German k98k parts..only a few gew98. Just in that one gew98 trigger guard I have sits a front lock screw.

            Best regards Tommy

I confirm, a very nice one. Incredible how many miles this G98 travelled to get into your hands.

                Best Regards.

You know i think I am going to just leave it as is. It has been this way for nearly 100 years so I would say that this is now its history. After all, it has been sans screw for longer than it had it!

Indeed, leave it as it is. In east and north of France, many of those that are found for example in barns have voluntarily lost some pieces in order to make them ineffective.

                      A winner!
These are not common anymore by a long shot.

Congrats on a great find Gary. I've been hunting for one of these for a long time.

Good choice and nice rifle. A K98 that is 98 years old.
