Nice all matching (and mag) 1938 luger P08 for discussion

    Hey folks,

Kinda new to the luger end of collecting but Im pretty sure this is a nice year.

All the big parts are matching but where are the hidden ones? Grips?

Can anyone pass on some info on the year?... Is this a rare one?

I understand having the matching mag brings it up a few notches.. Yes?

    thanks for any info J

Very nice Luger. Indeed....Lugers with a matching mag a very hard 2find. Think this means price up.

            regards

Thanks, any other info so I can ensure its all matching?

Any idea of where I can go to get a current value?

Look at gunbroker auctions, and not buy it now prices.

The actual sold range on gb is $2500 -3000

So I should be able to get $2500 ish?

                  Thanks

If the bore and internal workings are as nice as the pistol shows, something north of $2000. should not be a problem. Unless you need the money though, that's a good investment.

You will have to field strip the luger to see if the remaining inside parts match. The trigger, holdopen, firing pin, and rear toggle pin are all numbered. The inside of the grips may or may not be numbered.
The are some disassembly videos on Youtube that can help with stripping it.
