        I always thought the TM08 (Trommelmagazin 08) was issued the the LP08 (artillery) rather than the Navy Luger.

          While your observation is correct; a snail drum will fit into any standard Luger.

              Thanks for replies! Here are some more pics of the mag. I am not sure of the date on it , but probably before the war since it has no waffen stamps. I can check for more markings but there is a number printed on it 1907.

                The trommel mags were made in 1917 and 1918, in two variations with around 725,000 being manufactured.

                      Fine pistol - regret I never got one.
                      I'm too old and they are too expensive to change that now.

                      The ones in the US are a minefield today. Many have been significantly fooled with.

                        I saw a snail drum magazine some years ago at a tag sale when I had no money, it was in a bin of garage stuff and they thought it was for insecticide application....I went back there the next day and it was gone...
