Never seen such a thing It must have been for a static position MG13 as the mag is too long to be running around with it. Anyhow, for sure MG13 were reissued to second line units, so would match with that been 1945 volksturm troops in defensive position. Is it possible to read any stamp or maker's codes on them?

as far as i know they only fired the wooden tipped bullets as this was purely a training gun barrel had no rifling and on the end of barrel was some sort of mechanism for catching the wooden part of the bullet?
@ohlau what battlefield was it found on maybe narrow down what divisions were there

Guys, don't forget that the ZfG38 magazines fit on the MG13.
But i think they made up this magazine (and probably allot more) and used them with the normal ZfG38 magazines for the MG13, to be used on the front.I'm collecting anything related to the towns Castricum and Bakkum during WWII.
Also soldbucher from 116pzdiv. And 1944-1945 eastfront pockets, kampfgruppe and Oder front.
