This 1968 amnesty Registered Russian DP-28 was Picked up in France from surrendering Germans by a N.C. 30th. Inf. Division Veteran..... It is dated 1941...BILL

Is it still in it's original 7.62x54R caliber? If so it must have been a nightmare to get ammo on the French battlefield. Beautiful weapon btw.

That's a great peice.
I have a 82nd ABN. veteran friend that had one, and it was taken out of his baggage as it was shipped back to the States, by officers. He described it as a Russian waepon with a "flying saucer on top"...
Have you ever fired it ??

Good looking DP! It seems to have the original stock in good shape, which is always nice.

DP is a very reliable gun even in the extreme conditions and it is also very easy to control, thanks to the low ROF.

Personally I prefer the tank version DT w/ ground kit, as it has a proper pistol grip and no grip safety, which makes shooting in the prone position less awkward.
