      Some very nice things indeed, but lot 44 a 1943 Mg42 cra serial number in the 'L' block and alloy grips, someone could be in for a nasty shock!

          Hermann Goring's hunting rifle with scope sold for $31K.....By comparison to what the other lots sold for, sounds like a bargain.....It's not very often you get to purchase an item owned by the Third Reich's second highest in command.....Bodes

            Hello, A 1943 Maget 'cra' coded 42 could be no higher than in the 'c' block. They wouldn't have hit the 'l' block until late 1944, it would be date code 'NC' The grip panels should be bakelite, not alloy. Alloy being to valuable a material to be used on grip panels. This could be a Yugo M53 dressed up as an Mg42, it wouldn't be the first time it's happened. Jonathan.
