Mg42 barrel door?

Hello all,
Does any body know if there is any design or visual differences between a original MG42 barrel door and a MG3 Rheimetal one. Can both be interchangeable?

some are parkerized and not blued and some bear the rheinmetal factory logo and long nato type stock number on the front face

Does that mean there not all parkerized or have nato stock numbers on?
Im looking for a replacement for a ww2 original mg42.

im not sure, you could try getting a yugo m53 one and swapping out your screw latch mechanism from your old barrel door for the rivet type of the yugo style one? i know the yugo ones are exactly the same fitment except it uses a rivet instead of a large screw style on the front end.
