    Help ID 20mm Round

    I just picked up a couple of items from a local antique shop including this 20MM round. I am not have any luck identifying it. It is berdan primed and there is no head stamp. Any help would be appreicated.

      Any stamps on body of the case? or on projectile? lenght of the case?

        The shape of the case reminds me of the Oerlikon style but not in that length.

            It could be based on the german Becker 20x70 WWI cartridge...that gave place to the Oerlikon family.

              Yea,it is typical Oerlikon design.Caliber for pictured round is 20x72RB.Crimp of the casing is different than any european rounds i have seen,so it sure is Japanese license built version.

                I knew you guys would be able to help. Thanks much !! I looked and sure enough there are some Japanese characters on the fuze and bullet. They are very small. I wouldn't have caught them without guidence.
