The stamp over the pistol entry appears to be the same one over the photo.

I don't collect firearms, but the engraving looks rather crude in terms quality. Especially the runes which are really poorly executed. Also, the "provenance" mentions purchasing this from a "Mike Morris". If this is Mike Morris from Dallas (or North) Texas, then that seals it in my mind as bad. He is the Charlie Snyder of North Texas.

"Can you provide a closer photo of the stamp over the pistol entry"?

Joe, Here is a close up of the pistol entry. Can you tell his rank by his collar tab? From his date of birth he is 47 yrs old in the photo.

The stamp over the pistol entry obviously differs from that on the preceeding page that was used to authorize his clothing payment. That one has only a single line of letters under the swastika, while the stamp to the left has two lines of letters under the swastika

Thanks for the effort Bob. I was trying to get a closer view of the entire ink stamp. I had written above that Jensen's rank in the Waffen SS was Untersturmfuhrer (F)- a specialist Second Leutenant (Leutnant). His rank is indicated in the clothing notation opposite the entry for the Mauser pistol and also on the first page of his SS-Soldbuch and verified by the three pips on his left collar patch. It was not mentioned in his post-war info for the occupation troops.

bogus Mauser, someone is trying to make some $$$$.
There are quite some strange offerings in this auction company.
