Just wanted to post some pics of an 03a4 I picked up. It is in its original configuration altough the scope has a little pitting.

From the photos appears to be all correct, even down to the prick punch mark on the bottom of the barrel. I take it the stock is a "scant". If the rifle came through either the old DCM or current CMP, the scope and rings were probably added later. None of the rifles sold through the DCM had scope or rings, and to the best of my knowledge few if any CMP rifles had them. -

Luckily I bought this one before the prices skyrocketed after everyone saw "Saving Private Ryan. I have never seen one better.
