Deactivated wwii nazi luger dated 1937

    Good evening Gentlemen .....

    I hope you can help ..... ?

I have always wanted to treat myself to a descent Luger an s/42. I have recently found this one here in the UK. It looks okay to me but what do I know.
Here is the link - http://www.deactivated-guns.co.uk/de...prod_2442.html
From you guys that know do you think this would be a nice piece to have in a collection.
    Whats your thoughts
    Regards
    David

    Hello Stoss,

I would pass for this one. Strange grips and the fact that this is a Russian captured one (mark "X"), it has not so much value as the other ones. The russians did treat the metal parts, wich gives a less natural look. But of course...this is my personal opinion.

    regards
    Nicolas

Agree with the previous post. I realize that deactivation is a fact of life, so if you are going to purchase an example of a Luger, find one that appears all original.

        Luger

Looks like it has been refinished and at least two visible parts (side plate and take down lever) have been renumbered to match the others and maybe the barrel too. The grips look like East German or some other Commie brand.

I would say too high for a deact in that condition.

I agree with all the above posts.
I would pass on that one. There are far nicer examples out there.
