    Ruger Mk I

Go to gunauction.com and look at completed listings, then go to gunbroker.com (you have to be registered and signed in to view) and look at completed auctions, that will give you an "auction estimate" of what they are going for. I'm sure there is a Ruger forum out there as well, post there perhaps... Nice Mk I. Chris...

Any modern gun value guide will have the price for this by year and condition. I used to have a friend who was a Ruger factory rep who did shows , but passed away some years back in apache Jct.. Not to nit pick...BUT, This is really Not the place for this gun,as it is not even military related . Hank Williams Jr. Is a factory rep also, who my friend knew personally. Maybe write him online.? If you have the original box, that will also add a few bucks to the value, and if it has the booklet.Rugers in general are one of the best American made guns today...I prefer the security six 357.

When those came out, wasn't that the Standard Model, and the Mark I the heavy barrel target? This is a Mk I shipped to the military in 1956.

I bought it through the NRA/DCM in 1968 just before LBJ stopped the sale of handguns to U.S. citizens.

Ruger will not give you the information on who a pistol was shipped to, but on the U.S. pistols if you make a special request they will tell you that it was shipped to the government, just not which branch.

I've wanted this very gun for years-wish I could buy it.
