Is this an exact copy of the German launcher, i.e. will it fit a 98K? I wonder if rather than being viewed as merely an Italian "copy" of the German launcher, it is actually of Italian production under German supervision/contract for introduction into the German military supply chain (like the production of Beretta pistols, MP38/42 SMG's, and the FNAB-43 SMG's from the same time period)?

Hello Alan,
I do not think the Germans would have put the royal crown on their object...
likely that adapts
but those letters and numbers make me think to an Italian production
and in addition has the "hole" for the cleaning rod rifle
that is absent in the German
