      Unbelievable find!
One of the rarest and modern WWII firearms preserved...time capsule for sure! Hidden by some polish partisans maybe...
Already in a collector's war room?

As police was present, I am afraid it was confiscated, if not worse....

I'm afraid so. Someone told me that in a little town in Southern France, some years ago, they were throwing a building down...when several weapons appeared: MP40s and rifles, for sure hidden by Maquis. Police appeared and took the weapons...and never seen again

I believe there was a thread about this same theme were a special polish police squad recovered a big amount of weapons...I'll have to look for it.

              Nice Video

Wonderful Video. The original sling attached along with two full magazines of late war ammo added to the mix. Been cooped up I bet since the war ended and subsequent Russian invasion throughout the Cold War.

                Very cool!!

I bet this happened more than we think, and all over Europe.

I've always fantasized about finding a vet bringback MP44 that was registered in the 1968 amnesty in somebody's barn down here.

                    Dare to dream.

Who ever originally wrapped that rifle up knew what they were doing, it was all done to preserve the rifle for a along time, it looked like they used oil soaked rags to wrap it and rust proof paper for the mags. Interesting video.
