Outstanding M1939. It has not been refinished. The finger tip shaped splice joints in the stock show it to be original WWII. If the serial numbers all match (even if lined out or "forced") you have a real find. These rifles are not uncommon, except in that kind of condition.

Thanks for the info! How does the wartime stocks differ from a postwar stock, you mentioned a finger tip spliced joint, are there any other giveaways to look for? Thanks, Chris....
