    MG42.. First pattern feed tray

    Is this a first pattern MG42 feed tray?
    Looking at photos of this feed tray it has had "lip added" to stop ammo belt falling off when top cover opened.
    Most 2nd pattern trays have ammo lip cut into tray in production.
    First pattern feed trays on early bpr mg42s up untill mid 1943?

      Yes i would say an early one because of the added Cartrige belt hook on the end

          Hello.nice feed tray in good condition from großfuß.the lip was modified by the "Waffenmeister".that was a temporary solution before the next modell was produced.
