Got this gun from an NZ auction. Full auto. The stock is a wee bit 'sloppy' and the gun has some wear (to be expected!). Mp 40s are a lot more common on the ground here. The cocking handle has what I think is a field modification. A slot has been cut, I THINK, to accommodate a strop that holds the cocking handle and bolt forward to prevent accidental cocking and 'slam fires'. My Mp 40 cocking handle has a slip on sheet metal cover that can be pushed in to lock the bolt in the closed
