    German Machine pistol info wanted

    Hallo gents.
Does anyone have some info for me about this gun?

Yes, that's an Erma Machine Pistole or EMP . I believe it was produced in 1935. The spring system was later used on the MP30-40. It was used by police and SS, and also exported to several countries, as Spain during the Civil War. Spain produced a copy after the SCW till late 50's. Have a look at these threads:

      Nick,

Very nice long barrel EMP35. 4 ventilation holes in stead of 3.
It's a genuine German one from the early production.
If my memory is good yours has crown over N nitro marking.

      Differences with he Spanish ones:
      EMP marking
German Nitro proof crown N later examples have Eagle N
      E and D selector markings
Round cocking handle. Spanish has a teardrop shaped one.
This early models have a tangent sight later ones have a flip-up sight.
Police issued EMP's will normally have an Universal Sicherung (additional flip-up security)
      K98 style sling

This is a very desirable German MP!
      THX for sharing.

            ‘Proudly hosted on Photobucket’?
You Sam afford a machine pistol but not $35 a year?
I saw the original photos had disappeared, just like these will and there will be another useless thread in here.

                Yeah.
Spend the $35 fir an Assiciation Membership and oustvtge photos directlyvto here using the in house app and 10 years from now, someone that wants to do a search will be able to see the photos here and benefit from the information, instead of seeing empty space where the photos aren’t showing because they were deleted by an outside hosting vendor.
