    Stolen Japanese rifle and swords

Two German swords were stolen from me this week-end. Both were officer's swords, one was a lionhead. Also stolen was a Gunto type 98 Samurai sword and a Japanese Ariska Type 44 carbine. Please notify me if you see anyone attempting to sell from the Los Angeles area.

    Thank you,

These items were stolen from a supposedly secure Extra Space interior storage facility. I had these items in the storage locker only temporarily as I was repainting my office. A number of units were broken into and I've seen video of the thief loading the stuff into his old Ford pick-up. It seems another crook had rented a unit recently so he could get access into the building. Then his partner used the code to enter and loot. Locks weren't even cut but the doors were simply pried off their tracks with a crowbar. It happened early in the day on a week-end and no one else noticed. The police are investigating but I don't hold much hope. I've heard there's a ring doing this all over. So lesson learned. Don't put anything valuable in any of these storage units. They're not safe. I was told that reality shows like "Storage Wars" have given the impression that there are tons of valuables in these units and the crooks are picking up on it.
Unfortunately I don't have any photos that are good enough that would identify the particular swords and rifle. Everyone else in my collection is well photographed. Wouldn't you know.
