Does someone suggest me a serious book about the M3 Grease Gun?

Expecially details for a collector, so serial numbers, components, how to understand the WW2 manufacturing from postwar..

The M3 is a deactivated gun according to laws.

Hi Argan,

M3, like this, are only wartime because M3A1 was adopted on December, 1944 and Guidelamp production of M3A1 ended on August, 1945.

Post war production was only by Ithaca Guns, from 1953.

Listen: how can I know if the barrel is a Guide Lamp WW2 production or postwar? perhaps Ithaca..
Obviously I cannot remove it because it is deactivated and welded..
there is only a little "P" on it, perhaps proof?

And about the magazine? WW2 production or postwar?


And at last the greatest question:
How can I know if it was WW2 assembled or perhaps a postwar assembly with Guide Lamp WW2 pieces?

With the Italian deactivation it's impossible to say.

Every part marked G.L. is surely GuideLamp made and I don't think that they continued the work post war. All Ithaca manufactured parts are coded ITG.
