K98 S/42 1937 Portuguese contract

G'Day Andrew, Mate if my memory serves me correctly, still at my age, I remember reading that the 1937 contract of these rifles was sent but the 1941 contract was withheld because of the war (the Germans needed them more) if I am wrong please someone jump in and correct me.

Hello All,

I have an all matching (including the guard screws) S/42 98k Mauser rifle, serial number 431p, with the Portuguese seal stamped on the left side of the buttstock with a number different than the serial number on the rifle (B18403). The right side of the buttstock has a DE WaA63 Waffenampt along with a straight wing NAZI eagle (eagle over swastika). The toe end of the stock is stamped with the numbers 431p and below those numbers is stamped DE WaA63.
