    December 1943 Garand

    Just won this on good ole gunbroker. Checked it out with my new reference books. Looked good so I pulled the trigger. How did I do......Thanks Jimmy.....http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/Vie...Item=312956981

    I like this one very much.
    Perhaps a bit pricey, maybe, but I like it. The parkerizing, wood, stamps all look great to me. Nice 1907 sling to boot.
    I'd say you did well. I would be proud to own this rifle personally.

      Thanks Captain. This is my first foray buying a military arm on gunbroker. Especially one with the subtle nuanses of Garands and Carbines.

              I e-mailed you back. ya, small world could you post pics of it? I'm thinking it's the one I owned that has a soldiers name carved into the barrel channel dated 1944, if so that is a nice one even with the Marlin barrel that rifle grouped well at the range, I think I still have the target floating around somewhere I've run across it here recently.
