While not familiar with the prices in England I think you could do better. In the ad it shows the rifle having the late war stamped upper barrel band which Obendorf made rifles did not use until later in the war and it mentions that the rear sight came off a different rifle. Just my opinion and as I stated I'm not up on prices or availability in your part of the world.

John as you know difficult to find a nice K98 here in the uk lots of Russia capture

rosessg325 like I said to John difficult to find a good un messed with k98 this pice is a bit high as you can find them a lot less plenty of deactivated ones but live hard to find a good one, so I guess I better keep looking for a untouched one

Yes re blued but for all its faults I like it! But will look for better at that price

yeah I agree, the stock and bluing just look too...new...

I think it's ok but the price is a bit on the high side for a gun that has definitely been re-finished.

This one is refinished for sure.

Also a close up from each number on the parts will be need to examine this rifle

And this price is much to high for a rifle like this one.
