I've been offered this Beretta for 450€ (a bit expensive I think), it's marked RE for Regio Esercito, but I don't know what this marking (see 1st picture) means, something like "DES E3" may be a deactivation stamp? Thanks in advance for your comments,

Thanks, I think it could be a spanish deactivation code or something like that, but I haven't seen it in any other of my guns, what makes me suspect.

I too suspect it is some kind of deactivation mark or proof, although have never seen one like that before...
