    Firearms appraisal

    Hi guys,

For work, I need a recommendation of a highly reputable business or auction house that can provide appraisals of antique firearms.

I was thinking Cowan's but I am no firearm expert.

    Must be USA based.

    Any quick recommendations?

    Your help is very appreciated
    Best regards,
    Streptile

Many thanks Jim -- appreciate it

Any other recommendations for an established brick-and-mortar auction house (like Cowan's)?
      Best regards,

The 3 biggest brick and mortar houses that come to mind are:
        1.Julias
        2.Rock Island
        3. Butterfields(formerly Greg Martin)

            value

take it down to your largest local pawn shop and play stupid. ask 10000 dollars for it and then shut up. don't say another word. its hard to do. they will call an expertt and tell you exactly what its worth. you may also encumber the shop bubba who knows its value and availability of ammo and he may determine its worthless, a chance you take good luck

From the original post it sounds like more than one antique is involved. A lot of searching the internet will provide good information as to what the market is doing.
