    Bazooka Backblast

Not sure if this is the right place to post this, or even if it is appropriate for WAF, but here goes ...

What was the backblast of a US bazooka like? Specifically, would a soldier be able to safely fire a bazooka inside a tunnel that is really only wide and tall enough for one man to walk through (but with plenty of tunnel area behind the soldier)?

When rocket type recoilless rifles like the bazooka, law or RPG are fired the backblast can be considerable. There are bits and pieces of wire and other debris along with hot gasses, unburnt powder and whatever else comes off the back of a rocket propelled out of a tube. This can reach quite a ways back..maybe 30-40 feet or more. It would be more or less harmless to inert objects but very uncomfortable if not deadly to humans depending on how close you might be to the blast
I fired a law10 feet in front of a bunker in Viet Nam ..it blew out the small plastic covered window in the bunker and the quart of warm milk sitting in the window was splattered all over the inside..my squadmate sleeping inside was not happy about it!
