    DOU 98 K ss?

I got a call from a guy tonight that wants to sell me a 98 K . He said it was a dou 43 and it was made by slave labor and it had a circle with ss inside. I am by far not an expert on these, but I am not aware of the 98 k's being marked like that. I thought if they had anything, it was the single rune and that was BNZ. So, am I wrong, or is such a rifle a real thing? I am going to look at it tomorrow, but I wanted to be sure before I go. He has an M1 garand and a German pistol(he didn't know which one as he was at work), so it will be worth checking out. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

There was a guy selling a Walther PP on GB (also saw it in person) that may have had the same marking. Circle with an SS marking. May have been posted on another forum. FAKE! Would love to see pictures when ya see it!

    Take care,
    Lev

So guns marked like that are fantasy pieces? I had not heard of any but am by no means an expert.

Thanks for the help. I have to take a look. It might end up being a good rifle in spite of the mark.

Always take a look but Caveat emptor!!! With the high price of authentic items there are many fakes around.

Tis true! If it turns out to be an RC, could try to talk him down a lil more due to the stamp.

              Best Wishes!
