    only 200 $$$$$$$$$$$$

Sorry Daniel, but this has no bearing on the price of an authentic, matching MP38 in excellent condition. This is a replica, and a replica of a 40, not a 38.

Are you saying that this is an MP replica??

Sorry but you have to look closely.

This is MP40 digget out from earth, clean and ready to put on wall or manequin.

Ok, even if it is an MP40 relic, it has what to do with the price of a nice MP38?

I show nice mp38 on the first auc. but auc. was closed becouse it was to damm good. It was an wepon which in only few parts were bad, if you take them out and put new one you might have a nice mp38 for 200$.

In all replys to this thread users said that nice mp 38 in us costs a lot of money. i only show how much less you can spend on such wep. in Poland.

For example - nice STG 44, i said - deko but not for lonng for a specialist, costs in Poland - 600-700 $ in us 1500-1900$

I recomend to come to Poland and save few bucks. And also you can buy a few others interesting pieces!!!!!

            Reg.

            Daniel!!!

p.s Such relic is nice one too to put in on manequin, dont you think??

Daniel, the price of an MP38 receiver, the tube, in Poland is meaningless here in the States. Buying an unregistered live receiver from another country is good for about 20 years in jail. This is one reason why legal receivers here are so expensive.

Yeah i understand you verry good. In Poland buying such weppon is also risk, deactivate such Mp is very expensive, and registerying it - much more expensive!!!

But there are few dealers which buying is 100% legal.

Thanks god that i collect only gear and uniforms!!

A legal, all numbers matching, untouched, unplayed with MP38 would go for $15K and up.

                    Mp38

The MP38 is very scarce and rare. Only about 40'000 were ever made, when you compare the MP40 are over 700'000. This should tell all

                      John,

What do you mean by "legal receivers"? Are you talking about the aluminum made ones that fit in where the original was ?

I think what John is saying, is a legal to own gun in your state. Before they passed the law stating that all the guns that weren't registered are illegal to own. So its considered a federal offense if you get caught with one. It will take you $50K just to stay out of jail!

I know that unregistered fully auto's are illegal. But do deactivated ones have to be registered?

Properly deactivated guns do not have to be registered.

Michael is correct. Registered Class III weapons (live machine guns are among these) can be owned in some states. This requires an extensive background check, a tax, registration, etc. There is a finite number of antique weapons in this group. The US government allows no more to be imported. So, they are rare and difficult to obtain. Michael, I saw a minty MP40 sell for the price you quoted on a 38!

One of our members used to have an incredible collection of WWII machine guns, all in fantastic condition. He sold them several years ago, but I'm hoping he has photos of them and will post some here. You guys will not believe the extent of this collection.........

It would be great if members who own MP38's would post some pics of them. Tim.
