Thanks for the info Phil. Looks to me like an early WaA stamp ( eaglewings 11 )?

Hi, Not too sure, its correct waa11 for cra anyway, its possible could be a later barrel as it seems its chrome lined on the inside?, i think chrome lined barrels were introduced late on into the war?

Not sure if its a chromed barrel. What i can see of it does not looked chromed..I never seen inside of a mg42 barrel, Can only see this one because of the holes drilled in barrel.

The MG42 barrels that i have seen that are chromed lined are marked hyo and not manufactured by Maget.
I have seen one so maybe at some point they did. The barrel extension is early with the non reinforced cutouts but may have been replaced because i would think it would leave the factory with a CRA extension but who knows.

                        Probably a reblue.

It is okay. The gun may have been used after the war.
I'm not sure if there are any proven facts on when the Germans started blueing the barrel extension.
